What's Changing For You

  • December 1, 2024:

    • The CMS, Starter, and legacy Business plans will no longer be available for new sign-ups. The new Mini, Personal, Business, and Business Plus plans will be available instead. If you’re on a current plan, your dashboard will show the new plan you’re scheduled to move to.

  • From April 1, 2025 onwards:

    • Automatic transition from old plan to new plan will occur sequentially at the next renewal timing for each project.

Note: Old plans that are due for renewal between December 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025, will be renewed under the old plan unless manually changed. If you choose to wait for automatic renewal after that, the automatic transition to the new plan will occur at the next renewal timing between December 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026.

Note: Some information has been updated (October 15, 2024)

  • Page limit for the Mini plan:
    2 pages → 2 pages + 404 page

  • CMS model limit for the Business Plus plan:
    20 → 30

  • Timing of automatic transition from old plans:
April 1, 2025 → From April 1, 2025 onwards, automatic transition from old plans to new plans will occur sequentially at the next renewal timing for each project

Q&A: Important Updates to Our Plans

We've made some changes to the Q&A content published on October 1, 2024, due to some uncertainties in the information. We've added correct information and removed some uncertain details. Please review the updated content below. We'll continue to add more information as it becomes available.

Last updated: October 16, 2024

Plan Migration

Q. Can I manually switch to the new plan before automatic migration? 🆙

A. Yes, it's possible. After the new plans become available on December 1, 2024, you can manually switch to a new plan at any time up until your project's next renewal date.

If no manual plan switch is performed during this period, your plan will be automatically migrated to the auto-selected plan at the next renewal.

Important correction:

  • Old information (incorrect):

You needed to adjust your project's page count and CMS model numbers to fit within the new plan limits before signing up.

  • New information (correct):

For existing projects, you'll be able to continue using your current number of models without being restricted by the new plan limits. We'll provide more detailed specifications soon.

Additional information:

We have changed the description of the period during which manual plan switches are possible from "until March 31, 2025" to "during the period up to each project's next renewal timing."

Q. What qualifies as an "existing project" that won't be subject to model number restrictions?

A. An "existing project" is any project that had a paid plan before December 1, 2024. It doesn't matter whether the site has been published or not. These "existing projects" can continue using their current models without being affected by the new plan restrictions. While you're still on the old plan, there are no restrictions on adding models, even after we start offering new plans. If your model count exceeds the limit of your new plan when you migrate, here's what you need to know:

  • You can continue using models created before migration, regardless of the new plan's limits.

  • You won't be able to add more models if you're over the new limit, but you can edit and delete existing ones.

  • Even if you delete existing models, you can't add new ones until you're under the new plan's limit.

Q. How are the remaining contract period and price differences handled when migrating to a new plan while the existing plan's contract period is still valid? 🆕

A. It depends on the situation.

In case of manual switch:

  • When migrating to a new plan that is more expensive than the old plan, similar to the current plan upgrade process, a new contract will start at the time of plan migration, and additional charges will occur.

  • When migrating to a new plan that is less expensive than the old plan, similar to the current plan downgrade process, the contract will switch to the new plan at the expiration of the existing contract (automatic renewal timing). There will be no change in the contract date or refund processing.

In case of automatic migration:

  • For both upgrades and downgrades, the migration will occur at the expiration of the old plan (automatic renewal timing), and the new plan will take effect. Therefore, we kindly request that you check the destination plan on the dashboard before the automatic migration is executed.

What criteria are used to select the automatic migration destination plan? 🆕

A. From December 2024, we will select the most suitable plan based on your usage status from the previous month and display it on your dashboard.

We plan to publish guidelines for the migration destination plans in October.

Page Limit

Q. Why did you add a page limit to the new plans?

A. While our Studio design editor has always had an internal data capacity limit, we couldn't accurately quantify it, which caused inconvenience for our users. To ensure you can continue using Studio with peace of mind, we've completely revamped the design editor's structure.

This allows for significantly more pages and lets us clearly state the upper limits. For Personal plans and above, you'll now be able to manage projects with much higher limits (150 pages or more) compared to the previous rough guideline of "about 80 pages"

Q. What types of pages count towards the page limit? 🆙

A. We count the published pages displayed on the page panel. Redirect settings (settings used to forward to other URLs) and pages set as private are not counted.

Note: For the Mini plan, the 404 page can be created in addition to the basic two pages.

Note: Redirect settings are an optional feature available for Business plan and higher.

For dynamic pages and dynamic modals, we only count the number shown in the page panel. Pages that you switch to from the top of the screen don't count towards this limit.

Q. Do "unpublished" pages set with the page publication setting feature count towards the page limit? 🆙

A. Pages set to "private" are not counted towards the page limit.

Important correction:

  • Old information (incorrect):

Yes, we count all pages in the page panel regardless of their publication status, except for redirect pages.

  • New information (correct):

Pages set to "private" are not counted towards the page limit.

About CMS

Q. What are "models"? 🆙

A. Models are data units created when using the CMS (Content Management System). A model is a collection of items, such as individual articles or writers.

Tip: To check your current model count, open your project's CMS dashboard and count the models displayed in the top left. In the example image, there are 6 models.

Note: The number displayed on the right side of the model represents the number of items within the model. This number shows all items included in the model regardless of their published/unpublished status, but it is not included in the model count.

In the future, we plan to release an active model counting feature on the dashboard to make it easier to check the number of models that count towards your limit.

Q. What are "published items"? 🆙

A. The number of published items refers to items*1 and collections*2 that have a status of either published or scheduled for publication.

Tips: To check the number of published items, open the CMS dashboard of your project, and it will be displayed in the lower left corner of the screen. In the image below, the number of published items is 17.

Items scheduled for publication are also included in this count.

*1 Items are the units of data created when using the CMS (Content Management System). Items can be published, unpublished, or scheduled for future publication.

*2 Collections are a feature in the CMS (Content Management System) that groups items together. You can group items from specific models and publish or unpublish them.

Additional information:

We have explicitly stated that items scheduled for publication are included in the count.

Q. Are collections included in the model limit count? 🆕

A. The number of collections is not included in the model limit count, as per the existing specifications.

Q. How should I proceed if the number of models I plan to use exceeds the limit of the new Business Plus plan? 🆕

A. The approach differs depending on the timing of your plan contract.

If you contract or renew an old plan by November 30, 2024:

You can migrate to the new plan even if you exceed the limit. However, if you exceed the limit of the destination plan, you won't be able to add new models until the number of models falls below the new plan's limit.

If you're entering into a new contract on or after December 1, 2024:

It may be possible to accommodate your needs with an Enterprise plan. Please contact our support team if necessary.

Q. Why has a CMS model limit been added to the new plans? 🆕

A. To ensure we can continue to guarantee the loading speed and stability of published sites across our entire service, we have decided to set a limit on the number of models after considering the usage patterns of our current customers. This limit also serves as a performance guarantee.

Moving forward, we will continue to implement improvements that make content management easier without relying heavily on CMS models. While this may cause some inconvenience to some customers, we kindly ask for your understanding.

Q. Please share the CMS improvement roadmap. 🆕

A. First, we plan to release a "selection property" feature by December 1, 2024, when the new plans become available. This feature will allow users to set items from multiple choices without using reference models.

Regarding other details of the roadmap, we will be releasing information periodically in the future. We kindly ask you to stay tuned for further updates.

Other Questions

For "form count", do you mean the number of responses or the number of forms placed on the site? 🆙

A. This refers to the number of form responses* that can be viewed in the form dashboard. It does not refer to the number of forms placed on your site.

For more details, please refer to the help article below:

Q. In the new plans, redirects are an option for Business plan and above. How will redirect pages that have already been created be handled? 🆕

A. Existing redirect settings can continue to be used regardless of your plan.

However, changing existing redirect settings or adding new redirects will only be available as a feature in the new Business plan and above.

Please note that if you use a plan below Personal while retaining redirect settings, after the new plan is applied, you will only be able to delete existing redirects.

Q. API feature is an option for Business plan and above in the new structure. How will current API settings be handled? 🆕

A. The API feature available in the new Business plan and above will be provided as an "official version," which differs from the current beta version.

If you are currently using the beta version of the API feature, you will be able to continue using it regardless of the new plan restrictions. However, due to numerous operational issues with the beta version, there is a possibility that we may discontinue this functionality in the future after the release of the official version.

If you are considering utilizing API feature in the future, we hope you will look forward to the release of the official version, which is planned to be available in the new Business plan and above.

Q. Please explain how optional items that exist in current plans but not in new plans (such as CMS scheduling, making specific pages private, user management, etc.) will be handled after plan migration. 🆕

Specifically, the details are as follows:

  • CMS Publishing Schedule
As this is a feature provided regardless of plan, it will continue to be available in all plans as a basic feature.

  • Making Specific Pages Private
This will remain a feature available in paid plans, as it has been.

  • User Management
Currently, we do not set any specific limit on the number of invited users for any plan, which will continue. The writer permission will be updated as "permission management" and is planned to be available in the new Business plan and above.

  • Custom Code
This will remain a feature available in paid plans, as it has been.

Q. Where can I check the number of Visitors? 🆕

A. The number of Visitors is counted as the number of sessions that can be viewed in Studio Analytics.

Q. What happens if the number of Visitors exceeds the plan limit? 🆕

A. Similar to the current PV (Page View) limit, an alert will be displayed around the time of exceeding the limit, requesting you to upgrade your plan.
