What Are Active Models?

In CMS, models that contain at least one item with certain statuses are considered "Active Models." These statuses include:

  • Published

  • Scheduled for Publication

  • Has Unsaved Changes

The number of Active Models you can have in a project depends on your plan.

Active Model Limits by Plan

Each plan has a different limit for Active Models. These limits do not reset monthly; they represent the maximum number of Active Models you can have at any time.

What Happens If You Reach the Limit?

Even if you hit the limit, you can still create new models and items. However, you won’t be able to change new models or inactive models (models without any published items) to "Published" or "Scheduled for Publication" status.

To publish new items, you have two options:

  • Change all items in an existing model to "Draft" to free up space within your limit.

  • Upgrade your plan to increase your Active Model limit.

How to Check Your Active Model Count

You can see your current plan and Active Model count in the CMS dashboard.

  1. Open the CMS dashboard.

  2. Check the bottom-left corner for the [Active Model Count] display.
