Managing CMS Data During Plan Downgrades

When downgrading, any CMS items exceeding the new plan’s limits will automatically be set to “Draft” status, starting with the oldest publish dates, as soon as the plan changes.

These CMS items will remain stored as data, allowing you to edit them at any time. You can republish these items by upgrading your plan again.

Example

For example, if a project under a CMS plan has 300 published items, downgrading to the Free plan (with a 100-item limit) will result in 200 items automatically changing to draft status.

The image below shows the state of CMS items after downgrading to the Free plan.

The handling of CMS items during downgrades is the same when switching from other plans, such as CMS to Starter.
