Handling Writer Permissions When Downgrading

Writer permissions have a set limit depending on the plan. When you downgrade your plan, any writer permissions exceeding the new plan's limit will be removed from the project. We recommend organizing your members and permissions before the downgrade takes effect.

This article also provides specific examples for each plan before and after the downgrade.

Tip: What Are Writer Permissions? Writer permissions are available only in the Business and CMS plans. They allow partial editing in the CMS dashboard and design editor. The CMS plan allows up to 3 writer permissions, while the Business plan has no limit. For more details, please refer to Project Member Permissions and Management.

Specific Examples for Each Plan

Downgrading from Business or CMS Plan to Starter or Free Plan

The Starter and Free plans do not include writer permissions. Therefore, when the plan changes, all writer permission users will be removed from the project.
