Form Notification Issues: When Submitted Responses Don't Reach Your Dashboard or Email

If form respondents click the submit button but their responses don't reach the site admin, this article explains the causes and solutions. The main cause is setting a link directly on the submit button itself.

Common cause

The most common reason form responses aren't being sent is that the thank-you page shown after form submission hasn't been set up using the correct method for the submit button in the Design Editor.

If either of the following is true, clicking the submit button will only redirect to the thank-you page without actually sending the form responses:

  • A link is set on the form's submit button itself, or on its parent box

  • A link is set on the "Submit" text inside the form's submit button

When this happens, the form submission process doesn't run, so notification emails won't be sent and responses won't appear in the Form Dashboard.

How to fix it

The thank-you page shown after form submission is set up under [Page after submission] in the [Form] tab on the right panel of the Design Editor.

For detailed instructions on setting up the page shown after submission, first remove the link settings causing the issue described above, then refer to "
