Update a published site

Learn how to apply your edits to a site that's already live.

What does updating a site mean?

Sites created with Studio.Design are easy to edit and update after they've been published. The way you update depends on which screen you're editing from.

This article walks you through how to publish changes you've made in the editor to your live site.

How updating differs depending on where you edit:

Change the status of a CMS item.

To learn how to change the status of a CMS item, see CMS Status and Publish Date > How to Change CMS Status.

Steps

Note:

  • When you update a site, changes across all pages in the project are published. There is currently no way to update individual pages separately, so please keep this in mind.

  • The following roles cannot publish or update a site:

  1. Open the project for the site that's currently live.

  2. In the dashboard, go to Project Settings and click [Publish Settings].

  3. Click [Update] in the upper right.

  4. Visit your live site's URL to confirm that the changes have been applied.
