What is a site update?
A site update is the action of applying all your latest edits from a project to your published site at once. When you update your site, changes made across all pages in your project are published together. There's currently no way to update individual pages one at a time.
Point: Your changes won't appear on the published site until you run an update.
What gets included in an update depends on where you made the edits.

How to update your site
Open the design editor.
Click [Publish] in the top-right corner to open the publish panel.
Click [Update / 〇〇 updates] in the top-right of the publish panel.
Before publishing, you can preview what will change by clicking [View update differences] just below the button.
Tip: You can also open the publish panel from the dashboard.

Account permissions required to update a site
The following account types can't publish or update sites:
Guests invited to a workspace with default permissions
Editors without publish permissions (when using advanced permission restrictions on the Business Plus plan)
Reviewing changes before updating your site
After you make edits to a published site, you can see a list showing the number and details of differences between your project and the live site. These changes will all be applied the next time you update your site.
If multiple people are working on the project, edits made by other accounts are shown here as well. Reopen the publish panel to see the latest changes made by others.
How to review changes
Open the [Publish] panel.
Click [View update differences].
Changes are displayed by page and by component.
What appears in the differences list
[View update differences] shows the following types of changes, including those made in content editing mode:

The following changes will be published when you update your site, but they don't appear in the [View update differences] list:
Site and page settings (except for publish/unpublish actions)
Edits to custom code
Property edits to CMS items
Details shown for each change
The [View update differences] view shows the following details for each difference from your live site:
An icon indicating the type of change
The account that last made a change (page creation and edits only) *
The last-modified time (page creation and edits only) *
The icons and things to keep in mind for each type of change are as follows:

| Published / Unpublished | A globe with a strikethrough indicates a change that will unpublish the item. |

Studio.Design began recording page last-modified times and the accounts that made changes starting from the release of this feature at 4:00 PM on July 22, 2026. To start seeing this information in the differences list, update your site using the button in the top-right of the publish panel.
Frequently asked questions

A. If your site uses the new published site infrastructure, it may take a few minutes for changes to appear after an update.
Also, if you've previously visited the site in your browser, an older version may remain cached for up to 24 hours. Reloading the page will show you the latest version.

A. The changes that aren't appearing may be data managed in the CMS dashboard. Please review the status using our checklist.

A. If you change your title or description in Studio.Design's settings after publishing your site, the change won't appear in Google search results right away.
