Automatic Plan Renewal

Studio.Design’s paid plans renew automatically each billing period. This article explains renewal timing and notification details.

How Automatic Renewal Works

Your paid plan will automatically renew on your renewal date. Payment is charged in advance, and the fee for your next billing period will be processed using your registered credit or debit card.

This article covers the details of automatic renewal for your current plan. For information about downgrading your plan, please see:

Note: When Does a Downgrade Take Effect?

Downgrades don’t happen immediately. After you request a downgrade, your plan status will show as “Scheduled for Change,” and your plan will switch to the new one on your renewal date.

If you upgrade to a higher plan, the change and any additional charges will take effect right away.

How Your Renewal Date Is Set

Your renewal date for Studio.Design is based on when you first signed up for the paid plan.

  • Annual Plans: Your plan will renew on the same date, one year later. For example, if you start your plan on April 1, 2025, your next renewal will be April 1, 2026.

  • Monthly Plans: Your plan will renew on the same day each month. For example, if you start your plan on April 1, 2025, your next renewal will be May 1, 2025. If your sign-up date is at the end of the month (the 30th or 31st), and a future month doesn’t have that date, your renewal will happen on the last day of that month. For example, if you start your plan on January 31, your renewal dates will be February 28 (or February 29 in a leap year), March 31, April 30, and so on.

If Your Payment Fails at Renewal

If payment fails on your renewal date, we’ll send an email to the project owner. We’ll automatically retry the payment several times over about a week. If we still can’t process your payment after the grace period, your project will automatically switch to the Free plan, and your site will be unpublished.

How to Prevent Your Site from Being Unpublished

Go to your [Plan & Billing] dashboard to check your card details or add a valid card.

As long as your payment is completed within the grace period (about a week), your plan will continue and your site will remain published.

What to Do If Your Site Is Unpublished

You can re-subscribe to a paid plan from the [Plan & Billing] dashboard.

After payment, republish your site from the Publish panel at the top of the Design Editor.

If your site was using a custom domain, reconnect your domain and update your publish settings.

For more details, see What to Do If Your Payment Fails.
