Point: Forms in Studio.Design
By adding a form to your website, you can easily collect information from visitors, such as inquiries, survey responses, and document requests.
With Studio.Design's form feature, you can design forms by combining different form parts and manage responses from the form dashboard. You can also use email notifications or Google Sheets integration to view and make the most of your responses.
For details on how forms work and how to get started, see the articles below.
Managing form responses
Responses submitted through Studio.Design's form feature can be viewed and managed from your project dashboard. The dashboard organizes responses by form name, and lets you manage each response with statuses like "Open" or "In progress."
Tips: About access permissions
You can limit which members can view responses by using Advanced permission controls or the Workspaces feature.
Viewing form responses
(1) Open the form dashboard
You can open the form dashboard in either of the following ways.
From the design editor:
Open the [Main menu] at the top of the left navigation, then click [Forms].
Or, select a form, open the [Form] tab in the right panel, and click [Notification settings & response summary].
From the project list:
(2) Open a response
In the form dashboard, form names are listed on the left side of the screen.
Select the form you want to view from the list.
Click any response to open a detail modal where you can view its contents.
Note: If you have multiple forms with the same name in a single project, they'll be grouped together as one form in the dashboard.
Note: If you change a form's name, responses before and after the change will be counted as separate forms.
Example: If you rename "form 1" to "form 2":
New responses will be counted under "form 2."
Previous responses will remain under "form 1."
You can browse responses more efficiently using these tools:
Search: Use the search field in the upper right to search by keyword.
Filter: For multiple-choice questions, use the filter icon to filter by whether an option was selected.
Sort: Sort responses by date, oldest or newest first.
If a response includes file attachments, you can download them from the response detail modal.
Managing responses by status
(1) Manage status options
From [Settings] in the upper right of the response list, you can add, delete, edit, and reorder statuses.
(2) Update the status of individual responses
In the response list, select the checkbox to the left of any response you want to update.
Click a status name at the top of the list to change the status of the selected responses and move them to the corresponding status tab.
You can also change the status of individual responses from the upper right of each response modal.
(3) Permanently delete a response
Change the status of the response you want to delete to [Trash].
In the [Trash] tab, select the checkbox for the responses you want to permanently delete.
Click [Delete permanently] in the upper right of the screen.
The [Delete permanently] button is also available in the response modal within the [Trash] tab.
Managing form responses efficiently
Customize the columns in the list
You can change which columns appear in the response list from the gear icon [Settings] menu in the upper right of the list.
Download responses as CSV
You can download all form responses as a CSV file from the three-dot menu in the upper right of the response list.
Things to keep in mind when receiving form responses
Daily limit for form responses
A single project can save up to 5,000 form responses per day. Any responses submitted beyond this limit will not be saved to the server and will be lost.
When responses exceed your plan's limit
Even if the number of form responses exceeds the viewable response limit for your plan, data will still be saved as long as it stays within the 5,000-per-day storage limit.
In this case, you won't be able to view responses beyond the limit in the dashboard. To see new responses, delete unneeded ones or upgrade your plan.
