Form Fields: Add a File Upload Option

Learn how to add an upload field to your Studio.Design form so respondents can attach files. We'll cover how to add the field, supported file formats, and size limits.

Tip: Studio.Design's form feature

Adding a form to your website makes it easy to collect information from visitors, such as inquiries, survey responses, and document requests.

With Studio.Design's form feature, you can design forms by combining form parts and manage responses in the form dashboard. You can also view and use responses through email notifications or a Google Sheets integration.

For more on how forms work and how to use them, check out the articles below.

To let respondents upload files through your Studio.Design form, add a dedicated "File Upload" form part (box) to your form.

How to add a file upload field

  1. Open the [Add] panel in the design editor.

  2. Open the [Basic] tab.

  3. Under [Form Parts], select [File] to place a file upload part on your screen. If the added part appears on the same layer as an existing form box, drag it into the form box you want.

  4. If you're editing a published site, update your site from the [Publish] panel in the top right to apply the changes.

Supported file formats and size limits

Each file upload part accepts only one file, with a maximum size of 20 MB. If you want to receive multiple files, add multiple file upload boxes.
