This article walks you through the settings you'll need when managing content with Studio CMS, and the order to set them up in. Studio CMS is a CMS (Content Management System) feature that lets you structure, manage, and update content right in Studio.Design.
By combining models, items, and properties, you can manage frequently updated content like blogs and news in one place.

The overall flow
When building content with Studio CMS, follow these steps in order:
Create a model
Add items and set their properties
Create a dynamic page (to show details)
Place a dynamic list on a regular page (to show the list)
Check how everything works in Live Preview
Set the publish status
Publish your site
Point: The difference between dynamic pages and list pages
A dynamic page displays the details of each individual piece of content created in Studio CMS. By connecting it to the article model you want to show, it becomes an article detail page that switches content dynamically.
To create a page that displays a list of your content, place a dynamic list on a regular page.
These two serve different purposes, so you'll need to create them separately.
Step 1. Create a model
In the CMS dashboard, create a model that defines the structure of your content.
If you're creating article content, create an article-type model, which is built specifically for articles.

Step 2. Add items to your model and set their properties

Add items to the model you created. For detailed steps, see CMS Items.
Set properties
Once you've added an item, set its properties, such as the title, body text, and cover image.

Point: Make a note of your model name
You'll need to specify this model name when you create a dynamic page in the next step. If you have multiple CMS models, jot down the name of the one you want to connect.
Step 3. Create an article detail page using a dynamic page
Use a dynamic page to create an article detail page that displays each item in your CMS article model.
A single dynamic page can display multiple items, switching between them within the same design.
Add a dynamic page
Go to the Design Editor and add a dynamic page connected to your CMS model.

A dynamic page is a page type that switches between the items of a connected CMS model. With just one page design, you can manage multiple article items together.
Add boxes and link them to properties
Add boxes that match the type of property you want to display on the page, then link each box to its property.

Step 4. Place a dynamic list on a regular page (creating an article list)

Create an article list that leads visitors to the article detail page you built in Step 3. On a regular page, place a dynamic list connected to the same CMS model used for the article detail page.

Link boxes in the list to properties
Link boxes to properties so your content shows up.
By setting up a link to the article detail page using the slug property, your list becomes a working article index that takes visitors to each article's detail page.

Step 5. Check how everything works in Live Preview
Once you've created your dynamic page and list page, use Live Preview to check everything before publishing. Make sure the links from the list page to the dynamic page work correctly, and that the display switches as expected across multiple items.
Step 6. Set the publish status
Set the publish status for each item. Only items with a status of [Published] will appear on your live site.

Step 7. Publish your site
Once you've finished fine-tuning your whole site, including your CMS content, go ahead and publish.
