For details on adding, duplicating, or deleting pages, see Page Management.
Below, we'll walk you through each page type in detail.
Static page types
There are 5 types of static pages, including modals. After creating a static page, you can change it to a different static page type.
(1) Standard Page
Choose this when creating a standard static page.
It's best suited for pages that don't need frequent updates, such as company overviews or service descriptions.
(2) Modal
A popup window that appears as an overlay on top of a standard page. You can use it for things like hamburger menus or thank-you pages for form submissions.
You can edit the size and design just like a standard page, and you can also set entrance animations. For more details, see Adding a Modal.
(3) Password Page (Path: /password)
A dedicated password entry page used when you want to protect your entire website with a password.
This is great for members-only sites or portfolio sites that include private projects, allowing you to limit who can view your published site. For more details, see Protect Your Entire Site with a Password.
The Password Page is created by default when you create a project. It does not appear as an option when adding new pages.
Only one Password Page can exist per project.
(4) Home (Path: /)
The Home page is what visitors see when they access your website's root URL (i.e., the URL without a path, such as https://studio.inc).
The Home page is created by default when you create a project. It does not appear as an option when adding new pages.
Only one Home page can exist per project.
(5) 404 Page (Path: /404)
An error page that's displayed when someone visits a deleted page or a URL that doesn't exist. For more details, see How to Set Up a 404 Page.
The 404 Page is created by default when you create a project. It does not appear as an option when adding new pages.
Only one 404 Page can exist per project.
Redirect Page
When the URL of a published page on Studio.Design changes, you can use a Redirect Page to set up a "301 redirect" that automatically forwards visitors from the old URL to the new one.
For more details, see Set Up a 301 Redirect with a Redirect Page.
※ As of October 2024, dynamic pages cannot be set as a redirect destination.
※ This feature does not redirect from a different domain.
Dynamic page types
Dynamic pages and modals can display content created in Studio CMS.
Point: What is Studio CMS?
Studio CMS is a built-in Content Management System (CMS) available within Studio.Design.
To learn more about how it works, check out these help articles:
(1) Dynamic Page
A Dynamic Page displays CMS items managed in the CMS dashboard. When adding a page, select "Dynamic Page" and specify the model it references. For more details, see Dynamic Page.
(2) Search Page
A Search Page displays search results for CMS items.
By adding a dynamic list (CMS list) to the Search Page and configuring it properly, visitors can search and filter list items by specific keywords. For more details, see Search Page.
(3) Dynamic Modal
A Dynamic Modal dynamically displays CMS data managed in the CMS dashboard. Instead of navigating to a dynamic page when a CMS item is clicked, use this to show information in a concise modal window. For more details, see Dynamic Modal.
