How to Close Your Studio Account
This guide explains how to close your Studio account and what to check before doing so.
Closing your account will permanently deactivate your Studio account and remove access to all associated projects and data.
Note:
Closing your account may affect project billing and publishing status.
Once deleted, your account cannot be restored.
To prevent misuse, you can’t create a new account using the same email address. If you need to re-register for any reason, please contact our team at contact@studio.design.

Checklist Before You Close Your Account
Review the following items before closing your account. These steps help prevent accidental data loss or project interruptions.
If you plan to keep a project:

1. Leave Any Workspaces You Belong To
You can’t close your account while you’re still an owner or member of a workspace. Leave any workspaces before proceeding.
Check if you're participating in any workspaces by looking at the [Workspaces] section on the left side of the Project list screen.
If you're in any workspaces, check your role in each workspace's dashboard.
If you're an owner or member of a workspace, take the following actions:

2. Review Projects You Belong To
Check which projects you’re part of, and whether you’re the only Owner or Billing Owner. Some actions may be required before closing your account.
From your Project list, open each project to check your role.
Check if you have the following roles in any projects:
If you have projects matching these criteria, take the following actions:
For projects you want to keep:
Transfer ownership and billing responsibilities to another account.

For projects you plan to stop using:
Billing will automatically stop and sites will be made private, but we recommend taking manual actions to prevent unexpected issues.

Tips:
If you’re not the only Owner and you don’t transfer billing before closing your account, the site and preview will stay active until the scheduled downgrade takes effect.
To hide the site earlier, unpublish it manually.
If another Owner becomes the new Billing Owner, they can cancel the scheduled downgrade.
3. Review and Stop Template Listings
If you have templates listed in the Studio Store, they will be automatically delisted and their live previews will be made private when you close your account. We recommend removing your templates in advance.
How to Close Your Account
To close your account, follow these steps in your project dashboard:
Click on your account icon in the top-right corner of the project dashboard.
Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
Click on the "Account" tab and choose "Close Account".
Review the important information and select "Continue" if you agree.
Fill out the short feedback survey.
Enter your account email address to complete the process.
Note:
After your account is closed, you’ll receive a confirmation email.
If you don’t see it, your account may not have been closed successfully.
