Point: Publishing your Studio.Design site with a custom domain
To use a custom domain with your Studio.Design site, follow the steps below in order. For more details, see Publish Your Site with a Custom Domain.
Step 1. Get a custom domain from an external service
Step 2. Create a site in Studio.Design and subscribe to a paid plan
Step 3. Prepare for custom domain connection in Studio.Design
Step 4. Configure DNS records in the external service (this article)
This article explains how to configure DNS records in Step 4 above — specifically, how to connect a domain purchased through Muumuu Domain to your Studio.Design site.
Before You Begin
The instructions in this article apply to DNS record settings for domains that were newly purchased and are managed through Muumuu Domain.
If you're switching a domain that's currently connected to another live site over to Studio.Design, please refer to "Migrate Your Website to Studio.Design with an Existing Custom Domain."
These instructions are for users who have already completed Steps 1–3 in "Publish Your Site with a Custom Domain."
Steps to Add DNS Records
Note: DNS record configuration is done in an external service and is outside the scope of Studio.Design support. For further assistance, please contact Muumuu Domain directly. (Last updated: February 27, 2026)
(1) Open the settings page for your domain
Log in to Muumuu Domain.
Open the Control Panel from the account menu.
From the sidebar, go to [Domain Operations] and open [Domain List].
Click on the domain name you want to configure.
In the Control Panel, check the [Name Server Settings Change] section and confirm that the [Service] is set to [Muumuu DNS].
(2) Add and apply Studio.Design's A record to your domain (DNS record setup)
Click [Setup] next to Muumuu DNS for your domain.
On the [Muumuu DNS Setup Information Change] screen, click [Custom Settings].
Once you switch to Custom Settings, [Settings 2] will appear.
Click [Proceed to Settings 2], then go to [Add Settings].
The [Add Custom DNS Settings] screen will appear.
Add the A record specified by Studio.Design using the values in the table below.
Subdomain | ・For "without www": Leave blank |
Type | A |
Content | 34.111.141.225 |
Tips: Domains with and without "www"
・A domain with "www" and one without "www" are treated as two separate domains.
・Studio.Design only allows one domain to be connected to a website at a time.
Example: If you connect the non-www domain "example.com" to your Studio.Design site and publish it:
・Visiting "example.com": Your site will be displayed.
・Visiting "www.example.com": Your site will not be displayed.
6. Click [Add Settings].
7. If the following information is reflected, your DNS record setup is complete:
・Type: A
・Content: 34.111.141.225
(3) Verify that the DNS records have been applied
Use an external DNS lookup tool to confirm that your A record has been applied correctly.
Example: Using Google Admin Toolbox Dig
Enter your domain in the [Name] field.
If [34.111.141.225] appears in the [DATA] column of the results, your settings have been applied successfully.
If you see any of the following, there may be an issue with your DNS settings:
A different address is displayed
Multiple addresses are displayed
A "No records found!" message is displayed
In that case, please refer to "Troubleshooting Custom Domain Connection and Publishing Issues > How to Check Your DNS Record Settings."
Reference: You can also check DNS record propagation using DNS Checker.
Once you've confirmed that your DNS records have been applied, proceed to Step 5 in "Publish Your Site with a Custom Domain" to verify the domain connection status in Studio.Design.
