(1) Choose a domain

Before you can publish your site, you need to choose a domain. A domain is essentially your website's address on the internet.

With Studio.Design, you can publish your site using one of two types of domains:

  • Custom domain (a domain you purchase through an external service)

  • Studio subdomain (a domain provided by Studio.Design)

*You can also use a subdomain of your main domain (e.g., aaa.example.com for example.com)

*If you change the string after publishing, your site will no longer be accessible from the previous domain.

Help article

*You do not need to set up a rental server to publish a site on Studio.Design, regardless of whether you use a custom domain or a Studio subdomain.

(2) Prepare for domain connection (custom domains only)

If you're using a custom domain, you'll need to complete the following steps before publishing your site.

Since these settings can take a few hours to take effect, we recommend completing them at least one day before your planned launch date.

*If you already have a site published on another service, please note that changing DNS records will cause your existing site to stop displaying.

  • Set up your custom domain in Studio.Design

  • Configure DNS records with your external domain provider

(3) Publish your site

Once your domain is ready, it's time to publish your site. When you publish a website created in Studio.Design, it becomes accessible to anyone on the internet. To publish, use the [Publish] panel in the upper-right corner of the Design Editor.

Point: About scheduled publishing and updates

There is no feature to schedule publishing or updates for an entire site. However, within the CMS feature, you can use scheduled posts to publish content at a specific date and time.

That covers the basics of choosing a domain and publishing your site.
