(1) Choose a domain
Before you can publish your site, you need to choose a domain. A domain is essentially your website's address on the internet.
With Studio.Design, you can publish your site using one of two types of domains:
Custom domain (a domain you purchase through an external service)
Studio subdomain (a domain provided by Studio.Design)
Comparing custom domains and Studio subdomains
| Publish with a custom domain | Publish with a Studio subdomain |
URL format | example.com, | example.studio.site |
Features | ・Great for branding ・From an SEO perspective, custom domains are more likely to be seen as official and trustworthy ・Requires a fee to purchase and maintain | ・Since the URL includes "studio.site," full branding customization isn't possible |
Compatible Studio.Design project plans | Paid plans only | Available on both free and paid plans |
How to get the domain | Purchase through an external domain provider (e.g., Onamae.com, Muumuu Domain, Sakura Domains, Xserver Domain, Google Domains, etc.) (Domains cannot be purchased through Studio.Design) | Automatically assigned to each Studio.Design project |
Can the domain be kept when migrating to another service? | Yes, you can continue using it | No, it cannot be carried over |

(2) Prepare for domain connection (custom domains only)
If you're using a custom domain, you'll need to complete the following steps before publishing your site.
Since these settings can take a few hours to take effect, we recommend completing them at least one day before your planned launch date.
*If you already have a site published on another service, please note that changing DNS records will cause your existing site to stop displaying.

(3) Publish your site
Once your domain is ready, it's time to publish your site. When you publish a website created in Studio.Design, it becomes accessible to anyone on the internet. To publish, use the [Publish] panel in the upper-right corner of the Design Editor.
Point: About scheduled publishing and updates
There is no feature to schedule publishing or updates for an entire site. However, within the CMS feature, you can use scheduled posts to publish content at a specific date and time.
That covers the basics of choosing a domain and publishing your site.
