Point: What is Studio CMS?
Studio CMS is a CMS (Content Management System) feature that lets you structure, manage, and update content directly within Studio.Design. By combining models, items, and properties, you can centrally manage frequently updated article content such as blogs and news.
For more on how Studio CMS works and its basic usage, see the following articles.
A related articles list works by first categorizing your article items in the CMS Dashboard, then placing a CMS List on the article page, and finally setting display conditions for the items shown in the list.
This article walks you through the process in three steps: "Categorize your article items," "Place a CMS List on the article page," and "Set conditions on the CMS List to show only related articles."
Before you start
The steps in this article assume that you've already created your CMS article content. Make sure you've completed the following:
In the CMS Dashboard, create an article-type model (CMS Model) and CMS article items (CMS Items).

In the Design Editor, use a Dynamic Page to create an article page linked to the CMS article model you created in step 1.
For an overview of the full process from creating to publishing CMS articles, see the following article as well.
Step 1. Categorize your article items
Follow Add categories and tags to Studio CMS article content to add categories to your article items using a reference property.
Step 2. Place a CMS List on the article page
In the Design Editor, open the target CMS article page (the dynamic page linked to your article-type CMS model).
Create a CMS List (Dynamic List) where you want the related articles list to appear.
Be sure to link the CMS List to the same CMS Model that's linked to the article page itself.
When editing the CMS List's layout or appearance, refer to the following help articles.
Step 3. Set conditions on the CMS List to show only related articles
Filter the items in the CMS List so that only articles assigned to the same category as the article currently displayed on the page are shown.
Select the entire CMS List that you placed as the related articles list.
Make sure to select the list itself, not a single list item.
In the right panel, open the [Data] tab. If the panel is closed, open the Right Panel first.
In the tab, click the [+] next to [Filter] to add a filter.
From the dropdown, select the reference property under [Model].
For [Filter condition], select [Dynamic] (Dynamic Filter).
If [URL query in use] is displayed, click the chain icon
([Set value individually]) first, then configure the input field.
Configure the list's display settings.
Turning on [Hide same item] will prevent the article item from the current page from appearing in the related list.
For details on each setting, see the following help articles.
Note: If you can't select Dynamic (Dynamic Filter)
If your model reference property was created as a multi-select, you won't be able to set a Dynamic Filter.
In that case, create a new reference property for categorization as a single-select, and reassign it to each article item.
Step 4. Check that it works
Open the Page panel.
Use the selector at the bottom of the Page panel to switch between article items on the page, and confirm that the items in the Dynamic (CMS) List update accordingly.
Check the display in Live Preview.
Once you're done, confirm that the relevant CMS item's status is set to Published, and if everything looks good, publish your site from the Publish panel.
If your site is already live, use Update Site to reflect the changes on your published site.
