This article explains each of the settings you can configure from the Project Settings screen.
Point: What is a project?
In Studio.Design, you create projects to build, publish, and manage websites.
For more about the basic role of projects and how they relate to accounts and plans, see What is a Studio.Design project.
Open the Project Settings
Sign in to Studio.Design.
Open the dashboard for the project you want to edit.
Click [Home] at the top of the screen.
Click [Project Settings] on the left side of the screen to open the settings.
Project Settings details
Here's an overview of each item you can manage from the Project Settings screen.
Note: Meta information for site visitors — such as the site title and social cover image (thumbnail / OGP image) — is configured within the design editor. For details, see Page meta information.
Project name
Set a name to identify the project on the dashboard. The project name set here isn't shown to site visitors.
Click the pencil-shaped [Edit] icon
to edit the project name.
Cover image
Set the cover image that appears in the project list on the dashboard.
The cover image set here isn't used as the social cover image (thumbnail / OGP image).
Tips: If your site is published on the legacy infrastructure and no social cover image (thumbnail / OGP image) is set, the cover image set here will be shown when the site is shared on social media.
Publish settings
Change the publish status of the site managed by the project. Publish to either a custom domain or a Studio subdomain provided by Studio.Design.
For publish settings and instructions, see the following help articles.
Publishing infrastructure
Switch the publishing infrastructure for your site. After switching, you can switch back to the legacy infrastructure until the end of January 2027 (planned).
For detailed steps on switching, see Switch the publishing infrastructure from legacy to new.
Point: Studio.Design's publishing infrastructure
On June 11, 2026, Studio.Design's publishing infrastructure was renewed. Projects created on or after that date use the new infrastructure by default.
Projects created before that date remain published on the legacy infrastructure until you switch them over.
For details on the new infrastructure and the differences from the legacy version, see Studio.Design's publishing infrastructure.
Live Preview
With Live Preview, you can view the design you're working on in real time in a browser. By sharing the generated URL, you can review with team members and get feedback through comments.
For details, see Live Preview.
Sitemap
Turn on the toggle switch to generate a sitemap.
For details, see Sitemap.
.txt files
Available on: Paid plans
You can upload .txt files such as llm.txt and ads.txt. These are used to manage information for external services and search engines.
For details, see Upload a .txt file.
Password protection
Available on: Personal plan and above
Configure password protection. When visitors access the site, a password page appears and restricts viewing.
For details, see Protect the entire site with a password.
Custom proxy
Available on: Business Plus plan and Enterprise plan
Custom proxy is an advanced add-on that lets you integrate your own hosting environment with your Studio.Design site. It supports hosting environments such as AWS and Cloudflare.
For details, see Custom proxy overview and setup.
Custom headers
Available on: Business Plus plan and Enterprise plan
Custom headers let you add security-related HTTP headers to your published site. They can be used for measures such as cross-site scripting protection, and you can register up to 10 headers.
For details, see Add custom headers.
Webhook
You can send notifications to a specified URL when your site is published, updated, unpublished, or when a comment is added. By integrating with Slack's incoming webhook, you can also send automatic notifications to Slack.
For details, see Webhook notifications.
