How to copy and paste a box
Follow these steps to copy and paste:
If you select a box with a nested structure (parent box), the entire hierarchy will be preserved when copied and pasted.
Select the box you want to copy.
Use the keyboard shortcuts to copy and paste.
By default, the new box is pasted below the copied box.
If you select a specific element before pasting, the box will be pasted at the same level in the hierarchy as that element.
Tips: Copy and paste using the Layers panel
If a box is hard to select by clicking on the canvas, try selecting it from the Layers panel. The Layers panel makes it easier to find and select the right box within a nested structure.
In the left navigation of the design editor, click the Layers panel
icon.Select the target element in the Layers panel.
Once selected, use the keyboard shortcuts to copy and paste.
How to copy and paste multiple boxes
Copying multiple boxes at once lets you efficiently reuse grouped design elements. Simply select multiple boxes first, then copy and paste them.
Hold the Shift key and click on boxes to select multiple boxes.
Once selected, use the keyboard shortcuts to copy and paste.
Tips: Use the Component feature
If you want to reuse multiple boxes throughout a project, the Component feature is a great option.
Components let you register commonly used design elements within a project so you can manage and reuse them efficiently. This is ideal when you want to manage shared parts across your entire site in one place.
For more details, see the Components article.
Things to keep in mind when copying and pasting across projects
When you copy and paste between projects, the layout may break in the destination project.
If the responsive design settings or breakpoint settings differ between projects, the box's size, position, direction, and visibility settings may not match the destination project's configuration — causing the design to break at certain device widths.
When copying and pasting across projects, switch between each breakpoint to check the appearance, and adjust the size, direction, position, and other settings as needed using the right panel.
If copy and paste isn't working
Copy and paste may not work correctly due to your PC environment or browser extensions.
