Selecting boxes

Learn how to select boxes in the design editor. This article covers two methods: selecting directly on the screen and selecting via the Layers panel.

When you select a box, the available editing options for that box appear as tabs in the right panel.

*If the panel is closed, please open the right panel.

Selecting boxes on the screen

Click directly on a box on the screen in the design editor to select it.

You can also drag across the canvas to select boxes.

Selecting a single box

Tips: Direct selection

Hold ⌘ (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) and hover over a box to select the element directly.

  1. Click the box you want to select on the screen.

  2. The box will be highlighted with a blue border, indicating it's selected.

  3. The available editing options for the selected box will appear as tabs in the right panel.

    *If the panel is closed, please open the right panel.

Selecting multiple boxes

  1. Click the first box you want to select.

  2. Hold the [Shift] key on your keyboard and click each additional box you want to select.

  3. Each selected box will be highlighted with a blue border, indicating that multiple boxes are selected at the same time.

  4. You can edit all selected boxes at once.

Selecting boxes using the Layers panel

You can select one or multiple boxes from the Layers panel.

Selecting a single box

  1. Click the [Layers] icon in the left-side navigation of the design editor.

  2. The Layers panel will open in the left panel.

  3. Click the layer name that corresponds to the box you want to select.

  4. The corresponding box will be highlighted with a blue border on the screen, indicating it's selected.

  5. The available editing options for the selected box will appear as tabs in the right panel.

    *If the panel is closed, please open the right panel.

Selecting multiple boxes

  1. Click the [Layers] icon in the left-side navigation of the design editor.

  2. The Layers panel will open.

  3. In the Layers panel, click the layer name of the first box you want to select.

  4. To select a range of consecutive layers, hold the [Shift] key and click to select the range. To select non-consecutive layers, hold the [Command] key (or [Ctrl] on Windows) and click each one.

  5. The boxes corresponding to the selected layers will be highlighted with a blue border on the screen, indicating they are all selected.

  6. You can edit all selected boxes at once.
