With Studio.Design, you can upload PDF files and use them as links within your web pages. This is especially helpful if you want to let visitors download resources like company profiles, pamphlets, or other documents. In this article, we’ll walk you through how to set up PDF links, as well as how to edit or remove them.

Point: For details on how to upload PDF files, check out our guide: Uploading and Managing Files (Images, Videos, PDFs)

Setting a PDF File as a Link

Once you’ve uploaded a PDF, you can set it as a link on any text or box element on your page.

PDF files won’t appear directly on your page, but when visitors click the link, the PDF will open in a new browser tab.

Tips: PDF files can’t be embedded directly on your page like videos or images. Instead, you’ll see a text box or button that links to your PDF.

  1. Upload your PDF file

Make sure your PDF is uploaded. Learn how to upload files.

  2. Select the element for your link

Click to select the box, text, or image where you want to add the PDF link.

  3. Open the right panel

Click the [<] icon on the right side of your screen to open the panel, then select the [Box] tab.

  4. Set your link

Click [Link] then choose your uploaded PDF file from the list. The file name you used when uploading will show as the link destination. The text that appears for the PDF link will be a randomly generated string by default.
