Automatic TLS Certificate Renewal

Studio.Design automatically issues and renews TLS certificates for your sites. Learn about the service we use and what to do if automatic renewal fails.

TLS certificate issuance and renewal in Studio.Design

Studio.Design automatically issues and renews TLS certificates.

  • Issued TLS certificates are valid for 90 days.

  • Studio.Design automatically renews them every 60 days.

For automatic renewal to work, your A record must be set up correctly. Please check this with your domain service provider.

Certificate issuance services used by Studio.Design

We use one of the following services:

  • Google Managed SSL certificates

  • Let's Encrypt

The specific service used depends on the underlying infrastructure. For details, please see TLS certificates.

If automatic renewal fails

Automatic certificate renewal can fail due to changes in your domain's DNS settings or other factors.

  • If renewal fails, an alert message will appear on the Publish panel.

  • When automatic renewal fails, the renewal process will be retried automatically every day until the certificate expires.

If automatic renewal does not succeed before the TLS certificate expires

If automatic renewal does not succeed before your TLS certificate expires, your site will no longer be accessible.

  • Please review your domain's DNS settings and renew the certificate.

  • If renewal still fails after reviewing your DNS settings, please log in and contact us through "Chat with us" from the [?] button in the bottom right of the screen.
