To add a new box, drag the box icon in the add bar and drop it while making sure it is placed in the position of the orange guide.

When you place a box, it will also appear in the Layers panel on the left side of the editor. You can also drag and drop boxes once they have been placed. As the position of the boxes changes, so does the structure of the layer panel.
