What are Dynamic Pages?

Dynamic pages allow you to link CMS models and display model data, such as images and text, directly on the page. You can then design and publish with them.

In this article, we cover how to add dynamic pages, link CMS data, and customize styles.

Adding Dynamic Pages and Selecting Models

To add a dynamic page, click the page addition button in the top right corner of the Editor and select [Dynamic Page].

Choose the CMS model to link to the page.

Switching CMS Items

By default, dynamic pages display the first item in the selected model. You can view other items using the CMS item list in the top left of the screen.

Linking CMS Data

You can link CMS data (properties) to boxes in the Editor using the Layers panel or the Box settings panel. For details, see Property .

Layers Panel

Open the Layers panel by clicking the layer icon in the bottom left or using the shortcut key (⌘ + 2 on Mac, Ctrl + 2 on Windows).

Link data by clicking and dragging the circular dot next to CMS data in the top of the Layers panel to the desired box.

When the Layers panel is open, hover over each property to see a blue line connector. This line shows where the property is linked. Connectors only appear if the CMS data is already linked to a box or its style.

Box Settings Panel

For text, images, and links, you can set properties from the Box settings panel on the right. Select the box, then click the “<” icon on the right or use the shortcut key (⌘ + 5 on Mac, Ctrl + 5 on Windows).

Reference properties are hidden by default. Click the “▼” icon to expand and access them.

Changing CMS Models

You can change the selected model anytime in the Layers panel. Click the Layers icon in the bottom left or use the shortcut key (⌘ + 2 on Mac, Ctrl + 2 on Windows). Select a new model from the “CMS Model” at the top of the layer panel.

Tips: Changing the model does not affect the design. However, if the property structure differs, you’ll need to re-link properties.

Page Settings

You can set the page title, description, and cover image for each item on dynamic pages. These settings are important for SEO.

For detailed instructions and SEO tips, see:

Paths and Slugs

Dynamic page paths consist of a path and a slug.

Each item’s slug can be set in the CMS dashboard. The “:slug” will automatically be replaced with the CMS item’s slug. For details, see Slug .

Changing Styles

You can style each element within dynamic pages. Styles apply to all items in the model. Use boolean properties (display conditions, conditional styles) to show/hide elements or change styles based on conditions.
