When a visitor clicks a button set up as shown below, the X (formerly Twitter) post screen will open, allowing them to share with the content you've specified. (You can see the page that opens with the example link here.)
How to Set It Up
Select the text or button you'd like to use as a share button.
Example of how to add a button: From the left panel, go to the [Add] tab > [Parts] tab > Button [Show all]Open the [Settings] tab on the right panel.
If the right panel is closed, open it first.
In the [Link] field, enter a URL in the following format.
texthttps://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=[URL to share]&text=[Tweet text]&via=[Username]&related=[Suggested users]&hashtags=[Hashtags]
Example:
texthttps://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://naomi-osaka.studio.design&text=Congratulations%2C%20Naomi%20Osaka!&hashtags=withStudio
Parameters you can set in the URL
text | Post text |
url | Link destination |
hashtags | Hashtag words (separate multiple hashtags with commas) |
via | Poster's name |
related | Suggested accounts |
in-reply-to | Account to mention |
In Studio.Design, you can use the variable $url to get the URL of the currently displayed page. By using this variable, visitors can open the current page in the social media post screen and share it.
3. Update your site. Your changes won't be reflected until you update.
4. Click the link in the preview or on the published page to make sure the share button works as expected.
Tip: You can generate embed code using the external service "Twitter Publish". By pasting the generated code into an Embed box, you can embed posts or add a share button.
