Creating and Managing Projects
In this article, we will explain how to create, duplicate, reset, and archive projects, and configure project settings.
Tips: What is a Project?
A project is like a file that manages your site's design and data. You add pages within a project to build your site.
How to Create a Project
1. Click [+New Project]
After logging in, click [+New Project] at the top right of the screen.
2. Choose How to Start Your Project
You can start a project from scratch by selecting [Blank], or you can scroll down to the Studio Store to purchase either paid or free templates.
Tips: If you plan to purchase a template, please check the "Template Purchase Guide" beforehand.
How to Duplicate a Project
Tips: Only the owner can duplicate projects.
When you duplicate a project, its design and CMS data are copied, but some data are not. If you duplicate a project under a paid plan, it will be duplicated as a Free plan project. There are no charges for duplicating a project.
Data Not Included in Duplication:
Apps integration information
Project members
Form responses
Payment information
Images/PDFs in the upload panel
Version history
Steps:
Click the three-dot menu on the right side of the project and select [Duplicate] to execute duplication.
Note: Projects started with purchased templates cannot be duplicated.
How to Reset a Project
You can reset a project to its initial state at any time. For more details, please refer to Resetting a Project.
How to Archive a Project
Archiving unnecessary projects helps keep your project list organized. Currently, there is no feature to delete projects.
Steps:
Click the three-dot menu on the right side of the project and select [Archive] to move the project from [Project List] to [Archived].
Archived projects can be viewed by clicking [Project List] and switching to the [Archived] section.
Archived projects can be restored to the project list later if needed.
How to Open a Project
Projects have a Dashboard and an Editor. The Editor is a dedicated screen for design editing, while the Dashboard aggregates settings, CMS, forms, and analytics functions for the entire project.
Hover over the list at the top of the project list to display [Dashboard] and [Editor]. Click to move to the respective location.
In the vertical list, hover to display [Editor] and click to move to the Editor. Clicking other parts will take you to the Dashboard.
Overall Project Settings
You can set the project name and cover image. Making these easily recognizable helps you find the right project when you have multiple projects.
Tips: The project name is for project management purposes. Titles for site viewers are set in the site settings. For more details, see Page Meta Information.
Steps:
From the Dashboard, click [Home] and then [Overall Settings] to configure each setting.
Note: If no cover image (OGP image) is set in the site's page settings in the Editor, the cover image registered in the Dashboard will be displayed as is.
