SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It is a practice aimed at making your website more discoverable by search engines and enhancing its likelihood of appearing in search results.

This article introduces SEO strategies you can take on Studio.

It's important to note that besides the specific settings we will discuss, the quality of content is also essential for SEO. For more information on content quality, please see:

SEO Strategies to Take on Studio

Let’s first review the settings that can be configured for the information displayed in search results. Then, we will cover steps you can take after your site is published.

Configure Settings in the Site and Page Panel

These are the settings that can be configured in the Site and Page Panel on the right side of the Design Editor.

The three things we will discuss below—“Title,” “Description,” and “Cover Image”—can be set individually for both Site and Page Settings.

If both the site-wide (Site Settings) and individual page (Page Settings) are set, the Page Settings will take precedence. Therefore, it's efficient to first finalize Site Settings before configuring settings for specific pages. If the Page Settings are left blank, the Site Settings will be applied.

For more information on editing these settings on dynamic pages, please see.

Title

The title appears in the browser's tab and search result listings. Aim to set a specific and clear title that accurately conveys the content of the page. This helps users and search engines understand the content of the page.

Description

The description appears alongside the title when shared on search results and social media. By providing a concise and clear description, you can encourage users to visit your site and convey an overview of the page to search engines.

Cover Image (OGP Image)

OGP is the thumbnail image displayed when your website is shared on social media platforms, among others.

Favicon

The Favicon (short for "Favorite Icon") is the site's icon displayed beside the title in browser tabs and on bookmark lists.

HTML Tags

Studio allows you to stack and nest boxes to create a website. Each of these boxes can have its HTML tags set, which is essential for conveying the site's structure clearly to search engines.

By default, boxes have the <div> tag, and text boxes have the <p> tag. You can change these by selecting the tag in the top-left corner after placing the box.

The tags available depend on the type of box used. For more information on the types of tags you can set, please see:

Alt Attribute

The "alt" attribute of an image provides a text description of the image, and it is crucial for SEO and providing information to screen readers.

It's recommended to include information in the alt text that can be accurately conveyed to search engines and users in environments where images may not be recognized (such as due to connectivity issues or screen reader users).

You can set the alt attribute in the box settings on the right side of the editor when selecting an image box in img mode.

For more details, see the Google official documentation:

Above are the SEO settings you can configure in the Site and Page Settings Panel. Implement these settings to effectively communicate the content of your website to users and search engines.

Take Additional Steps After Publishing

Set 404 Pages

This is the error page displayed when users access non-existent URLs, such as deleted pages.

When users access a non-existent page, an appropriate 404 page helps them understand what has happened.

You can set a 404 page by making the path of a created page '404' or changing the page type to a 404 page.

For more information, please see 404 Page .

Because a 404 page signifies a non-existent URL, and hence doesn't directly provide value to search users, it doesn't need to appear in search results. Therefore, setting noindex is recommended.

For more information, please see noindex .

Submit your Sitemap

A sitemap is a file that provides information about the pages, videos, and other files on your site and their relationships. Search engines like Google read this file for more efficient crawling.

To submit a sitemap, you need to connect Studio with Search Console. To connect Studio with Search Console, a paid plan is required.

For more information, please see:

Increase Backlinks from Other Websites

When other websites link to your site, these links are known as "backlinks" or "inbound links." Increasing the number of backlinks can make it easier for search engines to detect and index your site.
