Step 2. Create a site in Studio.Design and subscribe to a paid plan
Step 3. Prepare your custom domain connection in Studio.Design
Step 4. Set up DNS records with your third-party service (this article)

This article explains how to set up DNS records (Step 4 above) to connect a domain registered with Onamae.com to your Studio.Design site.

Before you start

How to add a DNS record

Note: DNS record settings are managed by a third-party service, so they fall outside of Studio.Design's support. For details, please contact Onamae.com. (Last updated: March 2, 2026)

(1) Open the settings page for your domain

  1. From the Onamae.com home page, sign in to "Onamae.com Navi."

  2. In the sidebar, go to [Name Servers / DNS] and open [Domain DNS Settings].

  3. Click the [Domain DNS] button for the target domain to open its DNS settings page.

  4. On the DNS settings feature list page, open [DNS Record Settings].

(2) Add Studio.Design's A record to your domain (DNS record settings)

  1. Open the [Add Record] tab.

  2. In the [Input] form, enter Studio.Design's A record using the values shown in the table below.

Host name

・For a domain without "www": leave blank
・For a domain with "www" or another subdomain: enter the subdomain name, such as www or corp

TYPE

A

VALUE

34.111.141.225

Tip: Domains with and without "www"

・Domains with "www" and domains without "www" are treated as separate domains.

・In Studio.Design, only one domain can be connected to a single website.

Example: If you connect "example.com" (without "www") to your Studio.Design site and publish it:
・Visiting "example.com": The site loads.
・Visiting "www.example.com": The site doesn't load.

Tip: Auto-fill from the third-party service integration

If you select [Studio] on the [Third-party Service Integration] tab, Studio.Design's A record settings (TYPE and VALUE) will be filled in automatically.

3. After entering the details, click the [Add] button at the right end of the row.

The entered information appears in the [Add] list, but at this point it hasn't been applied to the DNS server yet.

4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and check the box for [Along with registering this record, switch to the DNS record name servers (01.dnsv.jp / 02.dnsv.jp / 03.dnsv.jp / 04.dnsv.jp)]. This enables Onamae.com's DNS management feature.

5. Click [Continue to confirmation screen].

※When you click, an upsell for a paid option may appear. If you don't need it, click [Don't set up]. (It isn't required for connecting your domain to your Studio.Design site.)

6. On the confirmation screen, check the following two items, and if everything looks correct, click [Set].

・TYPE: A
・Content: 34.111.141.225

・Status: Enabled

7. Once the setup is complete, the added A record will be applied to the DNS server.
That's it — your DNS record setup is finished.

(3) Check that the DNS record has been applied

Use an external DNS record lookup tool to confirm that the A record you set up has been applied correctly.

Example: Checking with Google Admin Toolbox Dig

  1. Enter your domain in the [Name] field.

  2. If [34.111.141.225] appears in the [DATA] field of the results, your settings have been applied correctly.

If you see any of the following, there may be an issue with your DNS settings:

  • A different address is shown

  • Multiple addresses are shown

  • "No records found!" is shown

Tip: You can also use other tools like DNS Checker to verify that your DNS record has been applied.

Once you've confirmed the DNS record has been applied, move on to Step 5 of Publish your site with a custom domain to check the domain connection status in Studio.Design.
