[AUTO_EDIT] [Beta] Setting an ID on a Box

By setting an ID on a box, you can use that box as a destination for anchor links.

Updated today

ℹ️ In "Editor 5.0," released on November 25, 2025, some menu layouts and steps may differ.

How to set an ID

  1. Select the box you want to assign an ID to.

  2. Open the [Settings] tab in the right panel.

  3. In the [ID] field, enter an ID using half-width alphanumeric characters, hyphens, or underscores.

The ID you set will be available for selection when configuring links, and it will also appear in the Layers panel and on the chip in the upper-left corner of the box.

Types of ID-based links and use cases

ID-based links can navigate to an ID on the same page or to a different page.

Link type (example)

Destination

Use case

#id

A box with an ID on the same page

Great for creating a table of contents at the top of long, scrollable pages.

Note: This type of link won't navigate to the ID from a different page, so be careful when using it in elements like headers.

/page#id

A different page with an ID, or a box with an ID on another page

Ideal for navigation links in headers that direct users to the home page or other pages.
