About the Comments feature
With Studio.Design's Comments feature, you can add comments to elements directly in the design editor. When working on a site with multiple team members, this makes it easy to share feedback efficiently—like design changes or content updates.
You can add, view, edit, and delete comments from either the design editor or Live Preview.
Comments in the design editor
Turning on Comment Mode
To add or view comments in the design editor, switch to Comment Mode.
In the navigation menu on the left side of the design editor, click the [Comments] icon
.Comment Mode will turn on, allowing you to add comments on the screen.
Click the [Exit Comment Mode] button to turn off Comment Mode.
Adding a comment
Turn on Comment Mode in the design editor to leave a comment on a specific element in your design.
Turn on Comment Mode.
Click the element you'd like to comment on.
A comment input field will appear on the selected element. Type your message and submit it.
Viewing comments
Comments added in the editor or Live Preview are listed in the right panel.
Turn on Comment Mode.
Select the comment you want from the list in the right panel.
If the panel is closed, please open the right panel.
Filtering the comments list
Turn on Comment Mode.
Use the filter icon at the top of the comments list to filter which comments are shown. You can filter by conditions such as:
Show only resolved comments
Show only comments added to the currently displayed page
Editing a comment
You can go back and edit comments you've added.
Click the three-dot menu […] in the top-right corner of the comment you want to edit.
Update the comment and submit it again.
Showing and hiding comments (resolved / unresolved)
Once a comment has been addressed, you can mark it as resolved to hide it.
Click the checkmark in the top-right corner of the comment, or hover over the comment in the comments list and click the checkmark that appears.
You can also reopen a resolved (hidden) comment by changing it back to unresolved (visible). Filter the list to show only resolved comments, then change the comment back to unresolved.
Deleting a comment or thread
You can delete comments you've added from the three-dot menu […] in the top-right corner of the comment. Deleted comments can't be restored.
If a comment has replies and has become a thread, you'll see [Delete Thread] instead. Deleting a thread will also delete all comments from other members within that thread.
Comments in Live Preview
You can also add comments from the Live Preview screen.
Comments added in the editor and comments added in Live Preview are handled as part of the same thread.
