Point: What is a carousel?
A carousel is a feature that displays multiple elements, such as images and text, one after another in a slide format. It's also known as a slider or slideshow.
In Studio.Design, you can create two types of carousels: a "List Carousel" using static List data, and a "CMS Carousel" using Studio CMS data.
Setting up autoplay for a carousel
You can configure this from the [Carousel] tab in the right panel.
Select the carousel part.
If selected correctly, the [Carousel] tab will appear in the right panel.
In the right panel, select the [Carousel] tab.
If the right panel isn't showing, open the right panel.
Check the [Autoplay] checkbox, and then configure the following options.
Setting | Details |
Interval | The amount of time before the slide changes |
Transition Time | The speed at which slides transition |
Pause on Hover | Autoplay pauses when you hover over the carousel with your cursor or focus on it using your keyboard. Autoplay resumes when the cursor moves away or focus is lost. |
If a "Convert" button appears on the tab, click it to enable autoplay, and the setting options will be displayed.
If you previously set up autoplay using Google Tag Manager, please remove the setting from Google Tag Manager first, and then click the "Convert" button.
*Depending on the complexity of your design before migration, some design elements may break after the migration. We recommend duplicating your carousel box before migrating, just in case.
*Play buttons are not included in carousels after migration. If you need a play button, please create a new carousel.
