Markdown notation

Studio CMS uses a simple "Markdown notation" in the text editing fields of articles.

Markdown is a notation that makes it easy to create structured documents (headings, bullets, citations, etc.) like the HTML language used for the Web.

Here is a list of the available notations and the results of previewing the document

Headlines

You can choose from six heading levels, ranging from H1 (#) to H6 (######). This helps you organize your content and make it easy to scan.

Lists

Studio.Design lets you create both bulleted and numbered lists. Use these to break up information and make your content clearer.

Emphasis

Highlight important text using bold, italics, or strikethrough. This helps certain words or phrases stand out.

Other Styles

You can also add code blocks, quotes, and horizontal lines to your content. These options give you more ways to format and organize your work in Studio.Design.

Special Styles in the Rich Text Box

With Studio.Design’s Rich Text Box, you can do more than just basic formatting. In addition to using Markdown, you can easily apply special styles to your text to make your content stand out.

Editing Rich Text

To edit a Rich Text Box, simply double-click it in the Design Editor. Once you’re in editing mode, you can select any part of your text and apply styles such as:

  • Bold

  • Italic

  • Strikethrough

  • Callouts

  • Links
