Image Box: Crop Images Visually by Adjusting Placement

Learn how to adjust an image's position within its box to create a visual cropping effect.

1. Place the image box inside a parent box

  1. Group the image box.

  2. Adjust the four sides of the parent box that was created to match where you want to crop.

2. Set the [Position] of the image box

  1. Select the image box and open the right panel. If the right panel is closed, open it.

  2. Open the [Box] tab.

  3. Set the image box's position to Absolute. This lets you fine-tune the image box's position by dragging.

3. Set [Overflow] on the parent box

  1. Select the parent box and open the right panel. If the right panel is closed, open it.

  2. Open the [Box] tab.

  3. Set the parent box's [Overflow] to [Hidden].
Now, any part of the child box (the image box) that extends beyond the parent box will be hidden from view.

Tip: You can also keep the image at Relative position and apply a negative margin for even more precise control over the visible area.

Note: Heavy cropping may not work as expected. If you need more advanced cropping, we recommend cropping the image in another tool before uploading it.
