Key concept: What is Studio CMS?
Studio CMS is a built-in Content Management System feature in Studio.Design that lets you structure, manage, and update your content. By combining models, items, and properties, you can centrally manage frequently updated content like blogs and news articles.
To learn more about how Studio CMS works and its basic usage, check out the articles below.
How Studio CMS works
Studio CMS separates visual design from content, so you can create and manage each independently.
Content only displays correctly on your site once you link box elements to CMS properties in the Design Editor.

This article explains how to create CMS article items in the CMS Dashboard. To learn how to create a CMS article page that displays your article items on your website, see Create a CMS article page to display Studio CMS article items.
Step 1: Create an Article type model
First, create an Article type model to hold your article items.
Open the CMS Dashboard.
Create a CMS Model. Select Article as the model type.
Step 2: Add an article item and write the body content
Add an article item to the Article type model you just created, then enter the body text and other content.
Add a new article item to your model.
Open the item's detail editing screen and write the body of your article item.
For details on editing the body and available formatting options, see CMS Items > Editing the body in the article item detail screen.
Step 3: Add CMS properties to the article item
By using CMS Properties, you can manage content flexibly to match your page structure and design.
For usage examples and setup instructions, see the following help article collections.
On the item list screen, click [+] and choose the type of property you want to add.
Edit the property label, then click Add.
Set the property value for each item.
You can also add properties from the item's detail editing screen.
Step 4: Set the publish status
Studio CMS includes a built-in publishing management feature for CMS items.
Only items with a Status property set to "Published" will appear on your live site. You can also schedule a future publish date to publish items automatically.
For detailed instructions, see CMS Property: Status and publish date.
Displaying CMS article items on your site
Article items created in the CMS Dashboard won't appear on your site until you link their CMS properties to box elements in the Design Editor.
