Studio lets you connect the analytics tool Google Analytics (GA) on a per-site basis. This article explains everything from obtaining a Measurement ID to connecting it in Studio.
Note: Because Studio Analytics and Google Analytics use different measurement methods, their numbers won't match exactly (for example, Visitor counts may differ between the two).
Tips: Viewing GA data within Studio
After connecting GA, you can view GA data not only in GA itself but also on Studio's analytics dashboard. For details, see Viewing Google Analytics Data in Studio.
Connecting Google Analytics
With Studio, you can connect your project to either Google Analytics 4 or 3.
To connect, you will need a Tracking ID or Measurement ID. This article overviews how to check IDs on Google Analytics and integrate them into the Studio Apps.
Notes
When connecting Google Analytics 4, make sure to uncheck the Page changes based on browser history events checkbox in the web stream details.
Google has announced Google Analytics 3 (Universal Analytics) will stop processing new hits from July 1, 2023. Further deetails available here:
Connecting Google Analytics 4
Sign in to your Google Analytics account.
Click the bottom left button to open Admin.
In the Property column, check that you have your Google Analytics 4 property selected, then click Data Streams, then Web. Click the data stream.
Click Hide advanced settings in the Page views, then uncheck the Page changes based on browser history events checkbox. Note, if the check box is checked, the measured number will be duplicated due to Studio specifications.
Go back to the webstream, then copy your "G-" ID in the upper right.
Once you have your Google Analytics ID, visit the Project Dashboard.
Click on the Home tab, click on Apps in the side menu, then click Google Analytics on the Apps page.

After setting the ID, update the site.
You can confirm your pulished sites' performance in real-time Google Analytics.
Note, Google Analytics will not record any hits in Live preview.
Steps to disconnect an app integration
Open the Studio project you want to use with the integration.
Go to [Home] on the dashboard.
Select [Apps] from the left menu.
Hover over the app you want to disconnect, then click [Disconnect] from the menu that appears in the top right.
When you disconnect, the values will be removed not only from the records in the database connected via the app integration, but also from the HTML of the published site.
